New bracelet in two hours? Sure...

There is not a better feeling when I can wear or carry something I create myself! Do you know this? If not, is time to try it... and believe me, the others will notice this... Are you deep in thought what give your friend, mum, sister or another woman as a present? Do you want to be unique, inventive and absolutely original? Make a present by yourself. Try to create a bracelet in two hours. You will be delight - twice... in your finished result and in joy of gifted one. I know these feeling for years since I am creating gifts with my own hands.

Let see and try...

Wrist band (bracelet) making The dimension of canvas you will choose according your needs – the length according to the girth of your wrist and width of final bracelet as you wish. Add the 3 squares in all four directions for the for folding. To the eye of your locker hook thread the fabric strip / yarn, etc. according your colour and material choice and whip stitch each square on folded canvas around. The purpose of this whip stitching around is covering the canvas edges completely. When you finish this covering on the edges, pull the fabric out of the locker hook and let there cca 5-10 cm long tail. Thread the locking medium cotton twine to the locker hook eye and its end tie by simple knot anywhere on the canvas. After finishing of your project you will untie it and hide it in finished loops. Choose the fabric strip you want to start filling the interior space of your bracelet. Insert the hook from the top down through the canvas and with the help of the other hand pull the first loop on the canvas. Again insert your locker hook through the canvas a pull another loop. One you have on the hook 6-8 loops, pass through your locker hook with locking medium cotton twine. This will secure your created loops. Continue by thi sway in your chosen pattern – around, horizontally, vertically, across (it depend on your fantasy) or create spiral patterns as I did in this demonstration. Sooner or later you get into a situation when you will need to extend your fabric strip. Someone is fabric strips sewing together, someone begins and ends after each strip. The most proven way how to combine two fabric strips together for me are steps on photos below. Fold the end of used strip and the new fabric strip for cca 1 cm and cut 0,5 cm long section. Put the end of new fabric stip on the top of the tail of used fabric strip and cover them in the place of created holes. New fabric strip thread through the both holes (from below). Tug at both strips firmly but not excessively (not to tear them). Next I continue in making loops. The knot will merge between the loops or at the bottom of the canvas. Continue in making your pattern or let your creative energy flow as I did. When is your bracelet fulfilled by the loops, you will finished remaining tails of fabric strips. Pull the ends up on the canvas by tapestry needle and throught these ends in next loops raw by (at least) five loops.  Remaining tail cut by scissors. I decided to use several beads to the center of created flowers. These I pin there by a thread normally. Only fastening is missing – use closing clip or thread 30 beads and use them as a little eye round the small button (sewn on the opposite side). Devise and create yourselves! It is easy, isn't it? Do you believe me that this bracelet-making took me 2 hours only? With taking photos, of course... If not, come to some of my courses and you will see how easy and amazingly creative the locker hooking is.
